But I clearly didn’t have the right system.
No model that worked for my nervous system.
No framework to switch off my stress loop.
No consistent structure to reset and regain control.
I had goals, dreams and aspirations...I wanted more out of life...
I was “doing the work.” But I was exhausted trying to chase clarity, energy, and high performance… while secretly fried inside... this wasn't going to cut it.
So I did what everyone else out there does in this situation.
I started looking for a way out.
I looked everywhere and after months of frustration… I stumbled onto something almost by accident.
It wasn’t a therapist.
It wasn’t another breathwork protocol or app.
I stumbled into a community of successful, 100% commission-based sales guys. Tucked inside another personal development course I paid way too much for. (It sucked, by the way.)
But a few of those guys? They were different.
They were "hacking" their sales jobs by living like high-performing athletes (but on a budget).
They wanted to maximize profits. To perform in their 100% commission-based sales jobs... because every single hour counted in a day. Each call could mean the difference between making $200, or $2,000 per day.
This was a cool concept to me.
They were actively solving the root causes of their bad sales days, and primarily focused on using "sporting hacks" and "sales performance tools" to fix their stress, nervous system and building protocols for real-world mental bandwidth.
What they had wasn’t woo-woo.
It was internal rewiring and maintenance.
They didn’t meditate on a mountain.
They didn’t become stoic monks.
They used clear, science-backed switches, paired with behavioral upgrades, to systematically turn off chronic stress, one major layer at a time.
And they were using that newfound calm energy to…
• Speak with more clarity
• Recover faster from setbacks
• Build healthy high-status relationships
• And earn more, with less burnout
This was a huge unlock for me.
Why hadn’t I connected the dots?
To deliberately apply sports performance strategies and sales mindset tools into my actual day-to-day life. Not just for work, but when I'm OFF my sales calls.
And as I dug deeper, I found that most of these top-performing sales guys were just like me:
• They used to run on caffeine, willpower, and stress.
• They were deep in the self-help world.
• They had ambition but no regulation.
• They were strategic, but secretly fried.
The only difference?
They weren’t just reading books or stacking self-help tips.
They had embedded proven sports stress-proofing protocols into their actual lifestyle, work rhythm, and mental habits.
They weren’t chasing hype.
They weren’t “optimizing” every minute like a try-hard biohacker.
And they still performed better.
They tapped into what high-stakes performers use: low-friction, high-impact upgrades to regain calm energy, focus under pressure, and confidence that doesn’t break the moment life gets messy.
And it clicked for me:
